This model have been designed to meet the requirements of the most demanding Customers. Based on the latest Rockchip 2706 chipset it establishes a new direction for the evolution of portable media players.
The primary chipset is accompanied by an additional separate earphone amplifier Wolfson 8750BG, responsible just and only for sound processing. This makes Eon Slide-R not only look cool, but sound incredible.
Eon Slide-R is equipped with a 2,8-inch QVGA AMOLED display (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode). These displays are a class of their own. Their stunning capabilities are by all means revolutionary: contrast ratio 10000:1 (up to 30 times more than LCD), view angle as wide as 180 degrees (up to 2 times more than LCD) and uncomparable intensity of colours and shades. It needs to be seen to believe it – you will be stunned.
AMOLED pixels operate three times faster than a film playback speed, which makes it perfect for fast-moving video sequences. They are also much less energy consuming and thinner – this player is only 6,5mm thick. Its one of the thinnest mp4 players around.
PENTAGRAM Eon Slide-R is able to screen directly AVI, FLV, RM and RMVB videos. Watching movies has never before been easier. Imagine that all you need to do, is to upload video files and press “PLAY”. That’s it. No file transcoding required.
Eon Slide-R supports the popular audio files MP3, WMA, WAV and additionaly FLAC, APE and AAC advanced loseless formats. All the music files stored in your Eon Slide-R are for your convenience sorted in audio libraries by seven different criteria. It’s an easier and much quicker way to find a particular tune inside your Eon Slide-R’s memory.
The latest Firmware version 1.11 brings the options of custom 3D, bass and treble boost which is the ultimate way to create your own tailor-made sound characteristics. And thanks to the additional Wolfson amplifier all audio will sound more powerful and clear than ever.
The photo viewer will display JPG, BMP and GIF pictures even as large as 4000x3000. Viewing photos has been enhanced by additional features such as zooming and rotation. Explore the details. Also, each of your own pictures can be used as a desktop!
The casing of the player has been manufactured from black, matt and enhanced durability aluminium alloy. The glossy front covers a slide-panel - a new way to operate your palyer. You can use it as a touch panel, but also to slide your fingertip to scroll through menus and files.
The player is also equipped with FM Radio (up to 30 presets), FM Radio recorder and digital voice recorder. Do you like reading? The TXT eBook features custom font size and colour.
Alongside an advanced equalizer and hardware 3D, bass & treble boost, the player also features the PlayFX™ sound enhancement system. PlayFX™ was developed to meet the growing requirements of users concerning sound quality control. Both companies involved - Microsoft® and Rockchip® - are highly acclaimed hardware and software suppliers, what quarantees top quality of the system itself.
PlayFX™ allows users to modify and enhance the sound in three different ways:
3D Headphone – produces a full 3D sound inside your headphones, making you feel in the very center of music.
PureBass – makes deep, extended bass as if you were at a rock concert.
AutoVolume - automatically adjusts the volume to the currently played file and equalizer settings.
Hate being bored? The 1.11 Firmware brings you four cool games for you too chose from embedded in the FW. Snake, Koules, Puzzle & Russian blocks will help you to get through every boring lecture.
That’s not all. From now on, you can turn your Slide-R into a game console as it’s able to emulate 8-bit consoles: Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Sega Master System.
Eon Slide-R is a plug & play device. You do not have to worry about proper software nor drivers. Simply plug it into any computer's USB port and start downloading your favourite tunes. You can fill it with music, films or any data wherever you are.
